Default Old Hardinge Lathe

Just got this old lathe. The serial # 49-6836-3, another # on a small plate is 207170. Anyone have any idea of the date it was made? I emailed Hardinge, but no response. Thanks,

Default Old Hardinge

No later than 1940 would be a pretty good guess.
