Default Hi I am new and just happen to have a photo of me at work

Not exactly a drill press but it is fun to have 41,000lbs of torque at my finger tips.

Default Serious hole borer

Thanks for the photo of your boring rig ! It appears you're boring holes for reinforced concrete pilings , poured directly into the ground. Whatever that
"soil" is from the hole, it looks like dense clay or shale, and I expect it does take a lot of torque to get through it !
