I have a Trak cnc 2..1990 vintage, It all works well..Need software to be able to use a PC for programing, the control does have a serial port...I have tried in the past and had no results..Just checking to see if maybe someone has succeeded or has done a retro that uses some of the parts...Hate to disect [or destroy,
whichever my capabilities allow.] system when someone may need the parts..Thanks, Seb in CT.. |

I have the same vintage Trak CNC 2 here. I have the offline programming software somewhere, I will find if you'd like. Haven't used in quite some time, its dos based software and won't run correctly on most newer computers. The CNC 2 also needs a specific serial cable, they've swapped 2 wires so a standard cable won't work. I should have that cable here also.
Let me know how I can help. Lee |

Hi Lee...Thanks for response.....
If you could find the software I would like to borrow it or if you could send me a copy it would be much appreciated..The cable I made up for a UK program for windows 2000, never got it to work...Not sure if the software is control specific [I got the impression it is] but I'd like to try what you have anyways..I have the offline manual and not sure from what I've read I will like programing offline but at least I should like using it [the PC] for storage..LOL..Wife claims to have an old dos mac somewheres [I beleive it] ...Thanks, Seb.. |
